Privacy notice
What we collect when you rent a machine or run a fleet with Revvit, and what happens to it.
Revvit is operated by Alpha21, LLC ("we", "us"). This notice covers the Revvit app, the Revvit platform used by rental operators, and the connected switches fitted to rented machines. Questions go to info@revvit.app.
What we collect
| Account | Your phone number, and your name, email address and preferred language if you give them. Riders can also store a driver licence number and a preferred payment method. |

| Sign-in | The one-time codes we send you and the sessions they create, so we can keep you signed in and spot abuse. |
| Rentals | Which machine you rented, when the rental started and ended, how many minutes were charged and the amount billed, plus the photo of the parked machine, your rating and anything you reported at the end. |
| Money | Your wallet balance, top-ups, holds and charges. Card and payment details are handled by our payment providers; we keep a record of the transaction, not your card number. |
| Machines | Position, ignition state and fuel level reported by the connected switch in the machine, with the time of each reading. While a rental is running, those readings are part of that rental's record. |
| App and devices | Your device's location while you are using the app to find or ride a machine, and basic technical logs such as app version and error reports. |
| Operator staff | For people who work for a rental operator: name, contact details and the role they hold on that operator's account. |
Why we use it
- To let you sign in and keep your account secure.
- To run rentals: releasing the ignition, timing the ride, billing the minutes and closing the session.
- To show rental operators the state and location of the machines they own, and the history of rentals on them.
- To settle disputes about a rental, damage or a charge, and to handle insurance and theft claims.
- To keep the service working and safe: diagnosing faults, preventing fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who else sees it
The rental operator. The business that owns the machine you rent sees your rental: who you are, when you rode, where their machine went while you had it, what you were charged and the photo you took at the end. They are responsible for how they use it.
Service providers. Payment processors, messaging providers that deliver your sign-in codes, hosting and infrastructure providers, and error-reporting tools. They act on our instructions.
Authorities. If the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim — including where a machine is reported stolen.
We do not sell your personal information.
Location, specifically
Two kinds of location are involved, and they are not the same thing. Your phone's location is used while you are in the app, to show you machines near you; you can refuse it, and the app will ask you to search by area instead. The machine's location comes from the switch fitted to the machine and belongs to the rental operator — it is reported whether or not the app is open, because the operator needs to know where their machines are. During your rental, it tells them where you took it.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account exists. Rental records, transactions and the telemetry attached to them are kept for as long as we need them for disputes, claims, tax and accounting — normally several years after the rental. Sign-in codes and technical logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your choices
- See or correct your details. Most of it is in the app; for the rest, email us.
- Delete your account. Email info@revvit.app. We delete your account and personal details and keep only the records of completed rentals and payments that we are required to keep.
- Turn off app location. In your phone's settings, any time. This does not stop a rented machine from reporting its own position to its owner.
- Complain. Write to us first — we would rather fix it — and you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Revvit is not for people under 18. Renting a machine requires being old enough to drive it legally where you are renting.
Changes
When this notice changes we update the date at the top, and for significant changes we tell you in the app before they take effect.
