Terms of use
The agreement between you and Alpha21, LLC for the use of Revvit. The rental itself is between you and the rental operator.
Who this is between
Revvit is operated by Alpha21, LLC ("Revvit", "we"). These terms apply when you use the Revvit app, the Revvit operator platform or any machine connected to them. If you do not accept them, do not use Revvit.
What Revvit is, and is not
Revvit is the software and hardware that lets a rental operator rent out their machines: it identifies you, holds and charges money, releases the ignition and records the rental. We are not the rental company. The machine you ride belongs to the operator, and the rental contract — the rate, the conditions, the insurance, the rules about where you may take it — is between you and them.
Your account
- You sign in with your phone number. Keep control of that number and of the device you use; anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- The details you give us — your name, your driver licence — have to be true and yours.
- You must be 18 or older, and legally entitled to drive the machine you rent where you rent it.
- One account per person. Do not let anyone else start a rental on your account.
Riding
- Obey the law of the road where you are. Wear the safety equipment the operator gives you.
- Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, carry more people than the machine is built for, or take the machine outside the area the operator allows.
- Do not tamper with, remove or block the connected switch or any other equipment fitted to the machine.
- End your rental where the operator tells you to park, and take the photograph the app asks for.
- Riding carries real risk of injury. You ride at your own risk, and the operator's own terms govern what happens if the machine is damaged.
Money
- Rates are set by the operator and shown in the app before a rental starts.
- We hold funds from your wallet when a rental starts and charge the minutes used when it ends. A rental that runs longer than what was held is charged against your wallet, and any shortfall is owed on your account.
- Refunds, damage charges and disputes about a specific rental are the operator's to decide; we will pass your claim on and act on what is agreed.
- Fees, taxes and any charges your bank or payment provider adds are yours.
If you run a fleet
- You are responsible for your machines being roadworthy, insured, registered and legally rentable where you operate.
- You are responsible for the people you add to your operator account and for the roles you give them.
- Rider data you see through Revvit is for running your rentals. Use it for that, keep it safe, and follow the privacy law that applies to you.
- Your separate agreement with us covers pricing, hardware and service levels; where it conflicts with these terms, that agreement wins.
Suspension
We can suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, to put people or machines at risk, or to defraud a rider or an operator. We will tell you why unless telling you would make the problem worse.
Availability
Revvit depends on mobile networks, satellite positioning, payment providers and the hardware in the machine. We work to keep it available but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, and a machine out of coverage may not appear as it should. Do not rely on Revvit in an emergency; call the local emergency services.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the condition or roadworthiness of a rented machine, the conduct of a rider or an operator, or indirect losses such as lost profit or lost holiday time. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We update these terms as Revvit changes. The date at the top says when. Continuing to use Revvit after a change means you accept the new terms.
